New York and the Crawford men

January 24, 2010

Yesterday we had a Crawford men trip to New York City.  Mike, Jeff, Bailey and I went to the International Motorcycle Show at the Javitts Center and then walked around the city.  Bailey was not too happy with Papa at having to get up so early on Saturday morning.  Jeff and Bailey drove to our house and we picked up Mike at the Willow Grove interchange on our way to Trenton, NJ.  We parked at the Trenton Transportation center and took the NJ Transit train to Penn Station in New York and walked over to the Javitts Center.  We walked the floor of the show for an hour and a half before the Ducati team did some trick riding.  Having been by all the stands we walked to Times Square via 42nd St.  and showed Bailey the ball he watched drop on New Years Eve.  We stopped into Toys R'us to see the large ferris wheel, Bailey did some souvenir shopping and we ate lunch at the Heartland Brewery.  We then walked over  to Rockefeller plaza because Bailey wanted to see where his parents were when they were on TV as part of the Today Show crowd a few New Years ago.  We then walked down 5th Avenue stopping at the New York City library to use their facilities.  Bailey was kept busy taking pictures.  He filled up his dad's 1 Gb card with pictures of stores, plaques, pigeons, sights, people and a few perplexed street vendors.  We walked by the Empire State building an our way back to Penn Station.  Everybody was totally tired out but had a great time and Mike got plenty of pictures to share with his girls as he promised.  Nana is now busy planning the Crawford ladies trip to NYC.
