Nice, Monaco, Villefranche-Sur-Mer
Last night, shortly after we sailed, we heard a code 2 announced for the crew. Figured it was a fall or something so we went about our way. Just before I went to bed at 10, I checked the ship's location and it looked like we had turned around. I checked later and we were on our way back to Livorno. We docked for a short time and headed out again. This morning it was announced that there was a medical emergency and the person had to be returned to land. We were going to be late to our Monaco stop so all schedules were to be changed. Turns out most tours were cancelled to include ours but we could be tendered to shore at Villefranche-Sur-Mer in whose bay we were anchored. Many people took the train to Monaco or Nice on their own from there but we just walked around town for a while. Laura, Steve and Laura actuall waded in the water and there were a number of people swimming. We all came back for lunch and I went back into town afterwards to walk up all the stairs to the old town. It was a delightful town and we had a great day. Alesa planned to skip the tour today and have a hair treatment and massage at the spa. Things were so late that she was able to go with us after her session. She absolutely enjoyed the session.
