Night Golf
While we were riding around in the golf car yesterday to cool off after playing platform tennis, we ran across an interesting vehicle in the parking lot at Brownwood. According to the internet it is a Polaris Slingshot 3-wheeled roadster. Not a trike motorcycle and not a car but a 3 wheeled, two seat roadster. It was pretty exciting looking. Last night Alesa and I played night golf with her dragonboat team at the Saddlebrook executive course here in The Villages. It was a shotgun start scramble played in the dark. We use hard plastic, clear golf balls with a hole through them where you inserted a short glow stick. There were lightsticks on the flags, inside the cup and at the tee box. Other than that the course was dark. It was like hitting a rock but we used the short, green tee boxes so you didn't have to hit far. Not my favorite way to play golf but an interesting experience. Steve and Laura made it home to Maine last night after having to stop for the night in Winchester, Va and Wilkes-Barre, Pa to have the car repaired as it was overheating.
