Opening Up

May 16, 2020

Things continue to open. All of the courts will open on Monday and the MVP athletic club will open on June 1st. Still requiring social distancing but I'm sure a lot of people will want to prove how 'brave' or revolutionary they are by not wearing a mask or keeping their distance so we will avoid the crowded venues for a while longer. The Sunday regulars are back for golf so Alesa gives up her spot for Mike. So she and I have been golfing another couple of times a week with Mike and Gene. We continue hiking and posting it on Strava. Am tracking some of the golf rounds as well. Alesa continues with her garden and yardwork. I helped her a while and was getting up and down quite a bit and was pretty sore the next day. Alesa had her crown glued back in on Monday but it took an hour and a half because they had a few 'emergencies'. I am sure her waiting had nothing to do with the fact she wasn't paying. Replaced the welcome mat in the entryway and had to repaint the area after scraping off pieces of the mat. Alesa is also painting some furniture and continues her experimental baking. I like the TV show "Castle" and had two DVD's before the isolation. After the library reopened I placed a hold on some more but I was always 3rd or 4th in line so I reserved 8 of them so I would get them as they trickled in. Well, I picked up six of them two says ago and was notified yesterday that the other two are on hold for me. Alesa is looking through pictures so I will post a couple I've added to my Genealogy database. The Prep 55th and the Sacred Heart grade school reunions in Erie have been cancelled this summer.
