On our way to Arizona

November 16, 2021

Had our last few golfing and water volleyball sessions before we head off to Arizona. We were busy packing and trying to pack items we will leave there to minimize the packing for later trips. Pennsylvania trips aren't a problem since we drive. On Monday morning we checked in for our Tuesday flight and drove 15 miles past Craig's house for an appointment for a TSA PreCheck Known Traveler Number which will make the security checks at the airports much easier. The appointment was a lot of questions, fingerprinting and pictures. Afterwards we drove to Craig & Janet's to spend the night. Janet fixed us a very nice dinner and Craig drove us to the Tampa airport the next morning for an 8:15 flight. He'll keep our car and pick us up when we return. Tampa has added a lot of power poles behind the seats for charging electronic devices: very nice. The Southwest flight left on time and arrived about a half an hour early, about 10:30. The 4+ hour flight was pleasant enough with in-flight entertainment and the flight attendant's amusing announcements. Jeff picked us up at the Phoenix airport and we had an enjoyable first half day visiting, swimming, shopping and drinking before we collapsed for the night. We also received our KTNs from TSA and immediately applied them to our return flight. Surprised that it only took less than 26 hours to get them. And Jeff did show me the changes he has made to the Harley.
