Outdoor Expo

February 25, 2018

This weekend was the Villages annual Outdoor Expo where the clubs and some outside vendors set up booths and explain what they have to offer. Alesa, being vice-president of the Platform Tennis Club, manned the booth today and was demonstrating on the courts yesterday. She was not available to golf this morning and neither were the other two regulars so I invited Mike Monaghan, Jim Miller and Ed Dawson to golf this morning. We golfed at Pelican (the most feared executive course in the Villages) and we had a great time and we all played well. Ed stopped at the house afterwards and had a couple of beers and then headed out, Alesa and I drove back down to the expo to drop off some schedules then stopped at the American Legion for lunch on our way to Sam's Club. Ed had the same idea so we saw him there as well. We also bought a couple of tickets to the Queen of Hearts game while we were there. The pot is above $200,000 and there is only one card left on the board so it gas to be the queen of hearts, so someone is going to win big at the drawing on Tuesday night. Earlier this week was the annual Strawberry festival at the Brownwood Town Center and we braved the crowds, walked the festival and bought a half a flat of berries.
