PeaknPeek

The kids all made it on Thursday night but had to drive through a blizzard at the end, and I don't mean the Dairy Queen type. It has been warm here lately and we hoped for snow but that was a little much although the grandkids were excited to see it on their way up. I took all the grandkids out in the snow that night to play, make snow angels, visit the ski lifts and lay on our backs in the snow and watch the flurries drift by on the wind. On Friday morning we all went down to ski except for Alesa. Bailey wore the bear suit that Alesa had made for Halloween many years before when his dad was his age. He was a hit on the slopes. Ellie and Anni took lessons because they have never skied before. They both did well but Mike did spend some time with Annika who was a little more cautious. We all had a wonderful day, the conditions were perfect and there were no crowds. After dinner the boys went back to skiing, Mike and Jeff to do some black diamond runs and Bailey and I to do a few long green runs. We then met the ladies at the pool and hot tub at the Inn at the Peak. I then took the kids back to the condo while their parents visited the local pub. Today everyone but Alesa and I went skiing and we are now awaiting their return for lunch. I drove down earlier and they were all skiing the long green trails together and having a great time.
