Pecan Park - Jacksonville

March 26, 2007

We are now settled at the Pecan Park RV park on 95 just north of town, by the airport.  We have signed up for Wi-Fi for the week so we are now reconnected to the world.  It has 183 sites, all concrete pad pull-throughs, so set up was easy.  It is at the end of their season so it is not very crowded.  We called Pruners and will connect with them this week.  We will be here until next Sunday then off to South Carolina.  Last Friday we spent the day with Betsey Fales in Ormond Beach and her friend Earl.  They were leaving on a cruise on Saturday.  We went to the world's largest Harley dealer then to Flagler Beach for breakfast.  The cook had called in sick so we ate breakfast at about lunchtime and then went across the street to the farmer's market.  On Saturday, Paul and Carol hosted a get together and all of the local Stone cousins made it, even Cela and her daughter, Mary Margaret.  The Stones moved from Erie to Miami when Paul and I were about 8.  Since we had lived next store to each other on Poplar street we all had a lot of stories and memories to catch up on.  We have never been able to spend more than a few hours together on previous visits.
