To Pennsylvania, finally

April 23, 2021

Our Co-ed water volleyball tournament was last Sunday but was stopped due to lightning after 6 of 11 games. It is scheduled to resume next Sunday but we are out of town until the day after so they will need substitutes. We feel bad but they understand. We left home on Wednesday morning, spent the night in Lumberton, NC and arrived at Mike's on Thursday around 5. The traffic around DC was a mess with a couple of tie-ups with delays. We saw another one coming around Wilmington and I couldn't take another one so we decided to get off I-95 and take back roads. We went through a lot of familiar territory and arrived at Mike's with a lot of long delayed hugging. Hugging denied for over a year. Today, Alesa took Annika shopping while Mike and I went to his soon-to-be purchased property in Bechtelsville. It's a flag shaped 3 acre lot in town with a small barn and a number of fruit trees. It is a nice piece of land with a lot of possibilities. We will all be headed out to revisit it in the morning. Alesa, Mike, Lisa and Annika are playing Chinese checkers while I finish this posting.
