Philadelphia Segway Tour

May 3, 2012

It has been two weeks since we posted and we have been pretty busy with everyday stuff. They extended Agent Orange exposure to the time I was flying near the Korean DMZ so I stopped in to start the works to see if I was affected. I turn 65 in June so I have been busy investigating supplemental health insurance. There are a lot of basic options which are pretty straightforward but the combinations with vendors are mind boggling. I have signed up and we are also trying to change Alesa's insurance to better, less expensive coverage. The other day we decided to clean the cluttered and dirty laundry room. One thing led to another until everything, including the washer, dryer and sink, was out of the rooom and we were patching and retiling the floor and painting the walls and cabinets. It was a two day job but it looks a lot better and hopefully we can keep the clutter down. Today is Bob Goodman's birthday so he, Ann, Alesa and I went downtown and took the Segway tour. It was an awesome experience. The segways were very easy to operate and we got a great tour of the Philadelphia highlights, even for people who have spent a lot of time there. Another highlight was that I was able to ride the train downtown and back for only a $1 each way since I now have my medicare card.
