Phoenix

August 22, 2019

Flew into Phoenix yesterday. Woke up around 1:30 AM, got ready to go, drove to Orlando, stopped for breakfast, parked at ParknGo and made it through security about an hour and a half before our 6:15 flight. We flew economy to check out the service and save $200. We flew Frontier out through Denver. The seats were cramped and didn't recline which was a problem for the 4 hour flight to Denver but not too bad for the less than 2 hour flight to Phoenix. We had a 4 hour layover in Denver and had to claim our checked bag and recheck it for the flight to Phoenix. We will be flying Spirit on the way home through Dallas-Fort Worth. When we arrived in Phoenix our bag was waiting for us and we took the PHX Sky Train to the Metro station, bought our $1 tickets at the kiosk and boarded the eastbound train for Gilbert. Jeff is out of town so Danielle and Bridget were able to pick us up at the local rail station. Easy-Peasy. We stopped at McDonalds for ice cream then to the house to rest for dinner. But, everybody was too tired so we just went to bed early. Bailey moved into his ASU dorm on Saturday and starts classes tomorrow. We looked for him as the train passed through ASU but no joy. Ate breakfast this morning at Egg & I, an excellent daytime restaurant. Jeff is due to fly in and be home by noon.
