Quiet Day

April 8, 2020

Today was somewhat of a quiet day. It was a hot day and we didn't feel like doing much outside. After breakfast I made butter noodles (big, fat ones) and then potato soup and that's what I had for dinner. It was yum, just like I used to make. Alesa was sewing, making dog beds out of an old bedspread. It was company as I made soup, listening to her relearning how to use the sewing machine. She also made no-bake cookies, which we call gooey cookies. She had made two batches earlier in this isolation but they go fast and she was running out of supplies. Which was one of the main reason we went shopping yesterday, We didn't even get out to get the mail. Nothing important as the post office sends me an e-mail every day with pictures of our incoming mail. Tomorrow they pick up the car for the recalls. We are planning a long golf cart ride as well as a long hike.
