Rayne, Crowley & Lafayette

January 28, 2008

Today was a great sunny day and warmed up to about 66 degrees.  We visited Rayne (the Frog Capital of the world), Crowley (the Rice Capital of the world) and Lafayette (At the center of Acadiana and home of the Ragin' Cajuns) to visit Jean Lafitte National Park Acadian Cultural center.  We also went geocaching to a half a dozen sites in those areas.  The big Oak Tree out in the middle of the rice fields was one of the sites.  Since our visit to Avery Island we now put Tabasco sauce on everything,  Alesa going with the garlic pepper sauce while I've been using the original.
