Ready for the trip

August 7, 2022

Spending time getting ready for our trip to Canada. With limited room in the Explorer, especially with four sets of golf clubs, we have to be careful about how much we pack. The fact that they are forecasting cool and rainy weather rather than the expected hot and humid is creating a lot of last-minute changes to our wardrobes. The clubs are packed and there is plenty of room for luggage (fingers crossed). Friday was a somewhat quiet day with the ladies walking around town and I flew the drone over the house and Steve has been guiding through yesterday. Saturday Alesa and Laura drove to play pickleball and I walked to join them for a game or two and we were joined by locals. I then flew the drone over the town ballfield and back at the house. Of course, Alesa and Laura played cards every chance they got. Today Art and Sally invited us all over to their place on the lake for breakfast. As always it was a wonderful breakfast with good food, beautiful views and great company. We are now back at the house resting and making final preparations for the trip to include our absentee ballots. We have made tee times for everywhere except Quebec City and are hoping for dry weather. Tomorrow morning, after a stop at the duty-free store we are heading to Halifax for a three-night stay.
