Larry and Diane Carullo came back down from Erie last week to close on their house in the northern part of The Villages. We had dinner with them on Thursday and visited their new home on Friday before they flew home the next day. For now they will have two homes and should be back in September. Friday night we had the across-the-street neighbors over for a visit and as they were leaving we saw the trail from the GPS satellite launched from the Cape. On Tuesday night Paul and I took Carol and Alesa to Hungarian-German night at the Hacienda Hills country club for Mothers' Day. Alesa has become a paddling coach and enjoys it except she doesn't get to paddle as much as she would like since the coach sits in the chair in the front of the boat facing the paddlers. Monday we went with the Maloneys to a new and very popular restaurant on La Weir, Eaton's Beach Sandbar. It was very good Cajun fare and the location reminded us of being on the Erie bay. Tuesday we golfed at Eagle Ridge, an 18 hole course at a local country club out of The Villages. This was Alesa's first time on an 18 hole course down here and we both did well.
