Steve and Laura Day 1 & 2
Steve and Laura arrived from Apalachicola yesterday at around 3 in the afternoon. After a quick settling, visit and 'orientation' we walked over to the Bradenton pool to stretch their legs and Steve and I stopped for the mail and visited with neighbors on the way home. After dinner, Gene and Connie stopped over for a visit and drinks. There was a lot of family talk as Gene is Laura's nephew. Today was a very busy day, in the morning we toured the new, southern parts of The Villages, played 18 holes at the PuttnPlay, walked the Hog Eye Preserve hiking trail and headed home for a late lunch and rest. Steve and Laura then went to have her iPhone looked at and I flew my drone. It was windy and I managed to lose it (long story) and after a long search I found across the street and a few houses down on their lawn. We then went to De La Vista golf course for 9 holes of golf with me, Alesa, Laura, Steve, Gene, Connie and Mike. It was a great and busy day which we topped off with hearty drinking. I logged 18,530 steps on my Fitbit and posted many activities on Strava.
