Steve & Laura visit

April 17, 2010

Now that Steve and Laura have semi-retired they have finally left the state of Maine and paid us a visit on their way to visit Laura's sister Mary in Ripley.  They arrived Tuesday evening and left this morning.  We had a busy time and enjoyed their visit.  Wednesday Alesa took Laura with her on the ladies movie day to see "Date Night" and Steve and I golfed 18 at Ingleside.  That evening we visited with Jeff and family at their home.  Thursday we drove into the city via Trader Joes, Valley Forge National Park and Edwards-Freeman candy in Conshohoken.  We toured Fairmont park and walked around the historic district before dinner at Maggiano's downtown where we attended an Ameriprise sponsored talk on Politics and Taxes.  Friday after Laura's visit to the walk-in clinic to deal with her nagging cough we went to Mike's for a Philly cheesesteak sandwich dinner with him and his family.  On the way we shopped at Ikea and a Souderton RV lot so Steve & Laura could walk through Class-C's.  It was a wonderful visit and they left this morning on their way to Ripley before heading back home.
