Still Busy

October 30, 2010

We continue to stay busy in the beautiful state of Maine.  Tuesday Steve took me perch fishing on Fourth Lake in his Grand Laker.  We didn't have any luck but it was a great 'Cast and Blast' kind of day because we fished, shot at a couple of ducks and stalked some geese.  Everything was safe except the cranberries.  We also took a trip up the long, meandering 'Dead Stream' to a beaver dam passing by a lot of beaver and muskrat houses.  Afterwards we put the canoe away for the winter in the attic of the garage.  All this while Alesa tortured Laura with long walks and Wii workouts.  Wednesday we watched the plumber replace some piping for their heating system and then Alesa and Laura went shopping at 'Mardens' in Calais while Steve and I stacked wood for the winter heating season.  That night they had friends (Takach and Whitely) over for a very nice dinner prepared by Laura and Alesa. Today Steve went hunting, I took a picture walk around town while Laura and Alesa sanded kitchen cabinets.  Later, Alesa and I went pistol shooting while Steve and Laura met with their electrician.
