SuperFullSnowBlueBloodMoonEclipse

January 31, 2018

Got up this morning to see this special moon, first time in 150 years. Super because it is closer to the earth than usual so it is brighter and larger. Full because it was a full moon. Snow because that was what the Indians called the second full moon of the year. Blue because it is the second full moon in a month. Blood because the moon has a red tint during a full eclipse. Eclipse because there was a full lunar eclipse but we only saw a partial before it went over the horizon and there was a slight red tint around the edges. There was a launch today but I only saw the trail under the clouds and it headed downrange before it cleared the top of the clouds. Clear here but there were clouds between here and the Cape.
