How can you let a day like 10/10/10 go by without a post?  You can't, we had Mike's girls for the weekend and we kept them busy especially because they were preparing for their Dad's surprise birthday party.  We picked them up on Friday and I can tell you I really don't miss driving in rush hour traffic.  Saturday they helped Nana mulch the side garden and then we went for a bike ride on the 'Rails to Trails', then they skyped their dad, made sushi, played with a walking stick (bug), went shopping, read and ate pizza.  Today they made their dad's birthday cake complete with marzipan sculptures (BTW, don't use hot hot fudge to frost an ice cream cake), ate donuts, skyped Bailey and Bridget for an hour and a half, watched the Wizards of Waverly Place marathon, made Bailey's Awesome Soup for lunch and celebrated their dad's upcoming birthday.  The are now on their way home and we are settling in to watch the Phiilies and the Eagles.   -------  It was a great night for Philadelphia!
