Theodore Roosevelt National Park

August 22, 2007

Today was another very good day.  It met all three of the top criteria for a great day. 1-Alesa was happy, 2-Alesa was happy and, most importantly, 3-Alesa was happy.  We went to the T. R. National Park and toured the badlands.  We saw elk, buffalo, wild horses and prairie dogs as well as a lot of antelope on the way back to Dickinson.  We went on a trail ride and rode up into the hills and down through the Little Missouri River bottom.  It was a great ride and the scenery was perfect.  The guide also did a good job telling of the flora, fauna, history, geology and geography of the area.
