Nana will hit a magic age on the 15th so we filed for SS this morning on the internet.  Something didn't match so we were notified to bring or mail her birth certificate to the office.  It was close so we took it down.  We had put her mother's maiden name on the application but they had her stepmother's maiden name, hence the mismatch.  But all went well and we were surprised that she gets a bump in the amount she gets paid due to my contributions.  Don't know why but are happy she gets it and are also glad we took our marriage certificate with us as since it was needed.  We had a great Thanksgiving and celebrated here with the kids and their families on Thanksgiving eve so they were free to celebrate with the in-laws on Thanksgiving and didn't have to rush about.  On Thursday we had dinner with the Schwed's and their family and have been shopping, relaxing, cooking and watching football for the rest of the holiday weekend.  I even made some pretzels with an Auntie Anne's kit, yum.  We are now back at home waiting for UPS to deliver Alesa's birthday Kindle.
