Time goes on

November 15, 2009

Wow, it's been over two weeks since we've posted to the blog.  Time is flying just doing the everyday things.  We stayed home for Halloween but only had about a dozen trick or treaters, must be the fear of H1N1.  Last weekend we had the Pruner's from Florida stay the night and we had a get-together dinner which included the Goodmans, Smiths and Holdens.  We had brought back a smoked ham from Urbaniak Brothers in Erie and it was a big hit.  It was sooo good!, as is everything Alesa prepares.  We took a day trip to Winterthur, the DuPont home in Delaware.  The grounds were beautiful and we took a tour of the home, but no pictures allowed.  We removed the carpet from the stairs and the upstairs hallway and ordered a replacement from Home depot.  It was supposed to be in last Thursday and I plan on installing it next week.  We continue to play Wii MarioKart every week over the internet with Jeff and family and Uncle Craigy in Florida.  Yesterday we went to see the Disney Christmas Carol in 3D with Jeff and family.  It was very good and we now have the kids for the weekend.  Bailey is busy writing a book about donkey pirates and Bridget is busy trying to wangle candy any way she can.  Or sugar in any form as Bailey and Nana just got back from buying donuts.  This week Nana baked gingerbread and made up four separate gingerbread house kits.  She was going to package the kits using the foodsaver but the first one cracked so she moved to plan B.  Since Bailey is "Mr. Fixit" the first one became his so he could repair it before building it.  That is what they are doing now.
