Ubatuba

January 30, 2020

Alesa had an eye exam on Tuesday for dry eyes and a new prescription. We got home at 5 after water volleyball and we had voicemails from our granite 'place' and our installer. Seems like they don't have enough of the green butterfly that Alesa wanted. We decided to head to a different place in Ocala early the next day after breakfast at Wawa and called the original stone place on the way. Some of the stone had been sold but they were expecting some more in soon and then we could come back and decide. We were headed to a different supplier but they had another store in Ocala so we decided to stop there first. It happened to be the very same salesman we worked with in Leesburg and he was very helpful explaining our options. They happened to have a table with a green butterfly granite top in the showroom. Horizontal and in the bright light the white 'spots' made the granite a little lighter than Alesa expected but she was still happy. Dwayne (salesman) then suggested a ubatuba stone (It's a town in Brazil) which was like the green butterfly but with smaller and lighter 'spots'. We put the ubatuba sample on the green butterfly table and she liked it better. So we took both samples and they were to call us when they came in as they were both expected on the same ship in Miami. We were in no hurry so Alesa was happy. But, I convinced her that since we were in Ocala we should continue on to the other granite shop. We got there and walked through the shop and didn't they have plenty of ubatuba on hand. We liked what we saw and stone can vary between lots so we tagged that stone and called the other place and then returned their samples in time to get Alesa back for her 11 o'clock volleyball games. I had my annual doctors appointment at 12:30 and an AED refresher course at 6. Today Alesa went to volleyball at noon and I had my annual skin check at 11:15. All went great with both medical appointments. Carlos (the installer) came at 1:30 to make the templates for the installation which is scheduled for February 25th. Tomorrow we both have our introductory lessons to have a fitness program developed for us at the MVP athletic club. And then we are both back to volleyball (if it's not too cold and windy). Got the contract in the mail for my protection plan with Direct TV. It was all only in Spanish so I called to make sure I wasn't going to get all my correspondence in Spanish. I explained the situation and he asks "What does it say?" and I said "What part of Spanish didn't you get?, Que passa, Pedro?" We spent some more time trading barbs and we all got a good laugh and he assured me that my language is recorded as English. I also got an Email today saying that I will be getting Sunday Ticket free next year.
