Wade Collier

July 16, 2013

Wade Collier was a member of our local veterans breakfast group and lived directly behind our house and across the street. He was a P38 pilot in the South Pacific during WWII and had plenty of interesting stories. I was helping him get his house ready to sell and we became friends. He was going to be 90 on September 5th but died of a heart attack in the hospital a few days after surgery to remove a large kidney stone. Today I and a few other members of the vet group attended his interment at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
