Walnut Canyon National Monument

While at the Sunset Crater visitors center someone told us about Walnut Canyon so we stopped on the way to Meteor Crater. It was another impressive sight with a very deep and steep canyon where there are cliff dwellings from over 800 years ago. There were many, many stairs and we walked partway down but discretion is the better part of valor.
