We Did It -Step II
We signed the contract and paid our 20% down so they will start building our home in a few days and were given a closing date of September 4th, only 77 days. We stopped by our lot and, with all the hands working on the house across the street, can understand how they can finish in such a short time. We will be heading home tomorrow morning and should arrive about midnight. We finished the design in a single morning and met with the designer the next morning to review the drawings, specifications and pricing and walk through our selections. We decided to buy our own refrigerator so Alesa can get exactly what she wants and made a few other modifications. Drawings and specifications were finalized and contracts were written and we signed them this morning. Besides all that hard work we were able to play a little as well. We went to the pool, played billiards, met a lot of neighbors, attended a beer brewing club meeting and tasted some home brew, went to City Fire to watch a singer and sat in on a practice session for one of the local bands specializing in 50's and 60's music. It is made up of Village residents and they have their first show Saturday night at Brownwood.
