We arrived back home just before midnight last night after an uneventful trip. There was some heavy traffic but our phone navigation (Waze) successfully routed us around it. We were going to take 2 days coming back but our neighbor had called earlier in the week to say our smoke detectors were going off so we thought we'd get back. He had reset them and there was no sign of a problem. One unit was chirping when we got back so we replaced the battery. Now to rest up and get back in the swing. We spent our time at Jeff's enjoying their company, helping paint the kids' bedrooms and celebrating Jeff's birthday.
