A Ferry Tale

Today was a travel day. We left the Gables and drove to Wood Islands on the southeast side of the island. We caught the 11:15 ferry from PEI across the Northumberland Strait to Nova Scotia, a 75 minute ride. It was a good trip but we didn't see any whales. We then drove to Cape Breton Island and checked into the "Worn Door Step" on the Cabot Trail. The "Worn Door" is a charming guest house, a bed and no-breakfast a block outside of the village of Baddeck. We were greeted by the owner, Willie, a Scotsman with a heavy accent and the stories and personality to go with it. We walked into the village for a short tour then back for some cocktails on our front porches with a comprar viagra great view of the Bras D'Or lake system. Then back into town for great fish and chips dinners.
