Ripley Reunion
Yesterday we shopped at the Millcreek Mall and then golfed with Bob at Crabapple Ridge. This morning Marilyn had back surgery so I went over to the hospital waiting room with Helen, Bernice and Cathy. The surgery went fine so we went out to Northeast and checked into the Colonial Motel for Alesa's high school reunion. We also stopped at the family graves in that area. The class had a golf outing at Lakeside and we golfed with Cathy (Pratt) and Tom Brown. The four of us then went to 'First Friday' in Westfield to watch another classmate perform in a band. We also roamed the streets through the vendors. Had a couple of beers during golf, the 4 of us shared a bottle of wine while walking the vendors and had another beer at a bar where Anthony's used to be. That was one of our stops when the NY drinking age was 18 and we were not yet legal in Pa. Alesa drove us back to the motel. The reunion is a trip back to the 60's while the stay at the motel is a trip back to the 50's. Clean but dated.
