Was in Jacksonville today for Alesa's dragon boat races. It was a very hot day and it wasn't a good day for winning but they did race well. We drove up yesterday morning and stopped to see Betsey in Ormond Beach and then to see Jeff and Sharon Pruner in Jacksonville before checking into the Omni in downtown. The races were at Metropolitan Park a couple of miles from the hotel and across the street from Everbank park where the Jaguars play. We have been our normal busy self over the last few weeks but even busier last week because we bought a new car. The Elantra had over 60K miles on it but was in great shape and we loved it but it couldn't carry 6 and us old people had a hard time getting out of it so it was time for a change. We usually run a car into the ground but this time Alesa said it was the first time she wasn't ashamed to trade in a car. On Wednesday we bought a brand new black Ford Explorer Limited and just love it, plenty of room with all kinds of features to include 3rd row seating and a tow package.
