Halloween
It is not Halloween yet but it was celebrated at Brownwood today. Craig and Janet were up for pickleball and after the games and lunch we headed to the Brownwood town center. We also wanted to buy tickets for an upcoming show at the box office but they closed 15 minutes before we got there. We walked around the square and visited the vendors and the carnival games. We watched Scooter and listened to The Villages Dixie Land Band before walking around the classic cars. They had a couple dozen cars on display, classic and hot rods, and the owners from the Vintage Car Club were handing out candy to the trick-or-treaters, called the Trunk n'Treat. We did not wait around for the Belly Dancers, the Prime Time Twirlers, the Village Gypsies, the Twirlers Show and Drum Team, the Sweet & Sassy Line Dance Team, the Gem Stone Dancers, the Stilt Walkers, Clown Alley, the Haunted House or the Hay Rides. It was quite a day. Among other things this week we opened up the Fales' house on Wednesday so they could deliver their new golf cart as well as take back the loaner.
