Laparoscopic Sigmoidectomy
January 18, 2017
Alesa had her surgery today for her diverticulitis. It was planned as a 'keyhole' surgery but the surgeon had to 'hand assist' at the end, so we don't know how large the incision is. It all went well as the doctor estimated 2 hours and it took just under 1 hour and he only took about 3 or 4 inches. My cousin Paul and Alesa's brother Craig sat with me during the surgery. She got through the surgery itself well but the recovery will be tough for the next few days. She tried to walk tonight but got very dizzy and nauseous due to the surgery, She should have better luck tomorrow.
