To Amsterdam
Woke at six, packed, had breakfast and headed to the S station and then to the central station. No hiccups this time because we are 'seasoned' travelers and know the ropes (?). A nice comfortable ride to Amsterdam with lots of stops and nice views of the countryside and the cities. Except for a rowdy group of drinking soccer fans who boarded at Hanover and sang and partied until they were escorted off by security and police at the next stop (Minden). Once at Amsterdam Central we picked up our stored bag at the bike shop, bought tickets and headed to Heiloo (Hi-low). Met a nice man on the train who we talked with for a while and he helped us know when we arrived at Heiloo. Joe picked us up at the station and took us to his house with Tets and their two dogs waiting. We had a great time catching up and they prepared a great meal. And there were many Dutch treats waiting for us in our room.
