Craig and Janet came up today to ride with us the Scott and Stacey's Christmas party at their home in DeLeon Springs. We also took the opportunity to visit with Betsey and Jennifer in Ormond Beach since it was about 25 miles east of the party. We had a nice but short visit with Betsey and Jennifer before going to the party. They have a very nice country home where they breed French Bulldogs and have chickens and sheep. Alesa particularly enjoyed the dogs. Scott and Stacey eloped when they were married so they hosted this party as a combination Christmas party and wedding reception. Members from both families were there and finally got to meet. It was a wonderful party with plenty of good food, drink and company. But, no drink for me since I had to drive home through the Ocala National Forest after dark. We did stop in the middle of the park on the way home to see the stars without the ever-present light pollution. Craig and Janet presented us with a golden anniversary cake at the party since we will be in Erie and they will be in Denver on that date. Stacey also ran a White Elephant gift exchange which was very entertaining and provided a good opportunity to get to know everyone. Craig and Janet spent the night at our house.
