Left Michael's yesterday morning and arrived in Erie around 3 PM as we decided to visit the scene of the crime. After checking into the hotel we had a good 'Erie' meal at Valerio's, visited my sister, Marilyn, and spent time with Bob and Cathy before coming back to the hotel. I went to the hot tub and the pool while Alesa went to bed. Today after a hearty breakfast we started our tour of memories to celebrate our 50th anniversary. Drove out to the Ripley School and had a cup of coffee at Meeder's before stopping by Alesa's house. Came back by way of route 5 and stopped by our Wood Lane house. Then by GE (now Wabtec) , the Bayfront highway by Hamot where both boys were born, the public dock and out to Becca's house. She had a nice little get together which included; Her, Imogen, Roisin (sleeping), Bob, Cathy, Caitlin, Jim & Mary Claire Brown, Annie and Marco. A drive around Presque Isle, Gannon Old Main (where we met, it was locked), stopped at the old Mr. Peanut Shoppe on the way up State Street, Cathedral Prep, our apartment on 10th street, Sacred Heart (where we were married, it was locked), our house on 25th street, my house, and to the hotel to get ready for dinner. We had a very nice dinner at a highly recommended,"The Cork 1794". Steve and Laura had called ahead and bought our first drinks for us, a very nice surprise. After dinner we went to see my cousin Ann and her husband Ed Dawson. Their son is fighting a very grave illness and they will not be coming to The Villages this season. We visited with Art and Annie Freitas then back to the hotel after a wonderful day.
