Happy St Patricks Day

March 17, 2020

The Villages has shut down everything but the pools and the golf courses. They shut down water volleyball yesterday. Looks like the taxes will get done early this year. Went shopping at Sam's yesterday for some food items and were greeted with a parade of carts piled high, mostly with toilet paper. I don't get it. A neighbor says it's an emotional thing; it makes them feel safe and comfortable. We stopped at Target on the way home and picked up some eggs as Sams was totally out. (That I get) Had the first virus case show up yesterday in the tri county area, Lake County. It was a travel situation. Took the Harley tire in Saturday and they have to order it but should be done on Thursday. Explorer tires get installed on Thursday and I will also take in two of the golf cart wheels to have new tires installed. Alesa is keeping busy by weeding, reading and cooking. Looking forward for corned beef and cabbage tonight. I'll keep busy following the stock market (UGGH), catching up with things, reading and maybe even some fishing. Eugene flew home on Sunday night. He and Connie will self isolate for at least a week since he came from England. Ed and Ann arrived from Erie last night for a few months. Paul and Carol are doing well, she bowled yesterday. Tim and Cheryl are getting ready for their move back to Erie. Hope the virus does not put too much of a stop to the showings for selling their house here in The Villages. We cancelled the April 9th Erie club meeting which was the last one of the season. We have been practicing with our water volleyball team for the senior games on April 23rd. Hope they still have them. Be cautious, vigilant and stay well !
