AZ3-Hike

June 2, 2021

Started the day with a hike around the water retention area behind Jeff's house. A 1.78 mile walk according to fitbit/strava. Later in the day we went grocery shopping at Sprouts in Queen Creek for fresh vegetables, meat and treats for dinner. Jeff cooked the pork chops, I cooked the beets, Alesa made a salad and Danielle cooked the string beans. It was a good dinner and they sang Happy Birthday to me 9 days early. After dinner I flew the drone around the house to check the roof and got a nice picture down their road of San Tan mountain. Then over to the Gilbert Regional Park across the street from their neighborhood for some pickleball. It is a new park with 16 pickleball courts, 6 sand volleyball courts, a dozen tennis courts, a child waterpark, a giant playground, an entertainment amphitheater and a lake for hiking and fishing. The pickleball courts have lights and were very crowded since it's much more comfortable versus the 106 degree daytime option. Very young players when compared to what we see in The Villages. We put our paddles in the rack and played a game when our time came up then walked around the park. Back to Jeff's to cool off in the pool and a shot of Jagermeister before retiring.
