Loveseat Master 2002

July 21, 2021

Continuing water volleyball and golf and Alesa has acquired a passion for bike riding. The big news is our new loveseat. The fake leather on both of our recliners has been peeling badly and we started looking for replacements before our trip to Arizona. We started looking again when we got back and fully expected to wait a number of months for delivery as we know people who are waiting 6 to 9 months to get what they want and inventory is down. We were focused on Lazy Boy and had decided on a love seat versus individual recliners. We had one picked out but Alesa had been investigating on the internet and suggested we try Ashley. We saw a unit we liked then saw one we even liked better. They were both top grain cowhide (to eliminate peeling) but the one had a headrest which could be raised and was very nice especially with the seat reclined. We both loved that and the deal was made. We got a number of discounts and even purchased a 5 year warranty due to our peeling, etc. aversion. Turns out it was in stock and it was delivered on Monday. We didn't pay the extra to have it set up but after the deliverer set it up he said, 'Oh, this was just a drop off, whoops' and went on his way. No big deal, it was just putting the backs on, plugging it in and checking it out. It even has lighted cup holders and 'running' lights which we really don't expect to use. We put the old recliners out by the curb after scheduling a 'big item' pickup and they were gone that day. We also bought an Echo Dot and are using Alexa for a number of things. In Arizona, Jeff has used Google Home (now Nest) to control much of his home. So, we thought we would give it a try. Alesa, Mike and I played 18 holes of golf last night at Harbor Hills. They aerated the greens a couple of weeks ago and offered special rates. It is a very nice course and we had fun but it was a little ragged.
