Electra

July 27, 2021

Alesa really enjoyed bike riding at Jeff's and she has been riding quite a bit since we got back. She has a very nice bike now, which Craig gave her, but it is built more for speed and long distances rather than for cruising. She really liked the Electra bikes Jeff had and we have been looking for them online. Today, after water volleyball, we were headed out to comparison shop and see what was available and how they were priced. Well, the first place we stopped, Dave's World Cycle in Wildwood, had the exact bike Alesa wanted and at the internet price, so we bought it along with a few accessories. Needless to say she is a happy camper (rider). On another note: Alesa knitted a hat for Elyse for the cold Penn State winter and mailed it in January (maybe February) to her apartment but it was lost and post office insurance wouldn't cover it because they said it was delivered. Well we received a text from Elyse a few days ago to say that she got the hat. She went up to Penn State to move some stuff from her old to her new apartment and the hat was at her school mailbox. Not sure how it got there versus her apartment but she now has it in time for the August freeze. We are continuing to play with our Alexa and use it for shopping lists. news, calendar, music, weather, timers, guard, reminders and questions. We control the TV and speakers but still haven't found anything else we want it to control. Finally got Ford to agree to replace the hood on the Explorer due to leading edge corrosion. Taking it in next week and hoping they don't come up with another reason not to do the work.
