Thanksgiving Eve

November 27, 2008

Today we had a Thanksgiving eve.  We thought we would try to have our Thanksgiving dinner the night before to give the kids and their families a less hectic Thanksgiving and to spare them the horror of having to eat two large meals on the same day.  We must say it worked out very well and all had a great time.  The grandkids put on a puppet show and pressed Papa into service as the narrator complete with pipe-cleaner glasses and microphone.  Bailey started the evening by helping Papa make a Spoon Stable to help control the spoons.  Kudos to Nana for a most excellent dinner.  There were not many leftovers.  There were 5 kinds of pie and I had a piece of each not to mention the gingerbread cookies.  Bridget got her dress today and now Nana can start on Bailey's sweater.  Tomorrow we are going next door to the Schwed's for dinner and then Bailey will be over for his birthday weekend starting Saturday.
