Today we went to Silver Springs, the home of the glass bottom boats.  The springs are the source of the Silver River and provide 550 gallons of crystal clear water daily.  The park borders the Ocala National Forest and many of the cruises we took were into the forest.  We went mainly because, how could you be in Silver Springs and not ride on the glass bottom boats?    But it was a truly beautiful, educational and enjoyable nature experience.  They have filmed many movies and TV shows here; some 007 movies, all the Tarzan movies and all the "Sea Hunt" underwater scenes.  Flat Stanley and Monk enjoyed the visit with Monk especially enjoying the monkeys.
