Alesa gets nervous on bridges and in tunnels but she did very well as we came across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel onto the Delmarva peninsula and the Eastern Shore. We are staying at Tom’s Cove Park in Chincoteague right next to where the ponies swim ashore.  They don’t do the roundup swim until the end of July but we did go over to Assateague Island and saw some of the ponies in the wild.  Afterwards we stopped at Steamers in Chincoteague where I had all the shrimp I could eat and Alesa had clam chowder and steamed clams.  Now on to Maryland and some crabcakes.
