End of July
The campground is full all weekend which is odd because there are no major events happening in the area. Just enjoying the weather, I guess. Tuesday I went fishing with my cousin Frank, his son Aaron and Ann's husband Ed. We launched out of the North East marina and trolled off the 'mountain' in about 120 feet of water and caught 2 good sized Walleye which Ed took because nobody else wanted to clean them. Wednesday we went to an Erie Philharmonic (horns) sidewalk concert outside the Warner Theater which was also being broadcast on local PBS radio. We had a great time and they even had free hot dogs. That afternoon we went to Downing GC for a golfing lesson from Bob's friend, Denny Perry. It was the first lesson either one of us has had and it was a great help. We then walked/played 9 at Lakeside to see if it helped and it did. Afterwards we visited with Janet at her mother's since she was flying to Denver the next day. Thursday was a down day and Friday we rode the bikes around the Peninsula and today we had breakfast at "The Breakfast Place" then stayed in and caught up on things. We did get out to the Whippy Dip for an orange sherbert/ vanilla twist cone, YUM! I feel guilty I didn't make it to my 45th high school reunion this weekend but I didn't.
