Blog Server Down
As you have probably noticed the blog server was ‘attacked’ and Mike just got it back up and updated to the latest software versions and I am ‘post-dating’ this entry to split up the week but we have yet to get pictures working. On Monday evening Hank, Kathy and their granddaughter Jackie came to the trailer and we went out to dinner at Barbato’s in Wesleyville. On the way back we stopped to visit Tony and Gloria Ferritto at their house. A great visit with old friends and we picked up just like in high school. Hank, Kathy and Jackie are leaving on Wednesday morning for their trip back to Houston via their son’s house in Little Rock. On Tuesday we played 18 at Gospel Hill, another favorite course. It was $20 each for 18 with a cart and lunch at the turn. Alesa saw a house on Reese road for sale so she called the realtor and we toured it on Thursday, but too much for too little. On the way to the house we drove a lot of familiar roads just south of Erie to see the many changes. I felt like my parents and grandparents with thoughts of hiking, hunting and camping in areas that are now subdivisions or commercial areas. We also toured Penn State- Behrend and were very impressed by the campus and all the changes that have been made. On Friday Ava and Marilyn stopped over for a visit and I had a chance to change her PA ID card address on the internet. That night we stopped at Bob & Cathy’s for pizza and wings with the family and to say goodbye to Paul who was leaving on Saturday AM to drive (with big sister Becca’s help) to Kansas State in Manhattan, KS for his post-graduate work. He sent a picture from the Arch in St. Louis that night as they headed West. Oh, to be young and have all that excitement in front of you. But it’s not bad to have it behind you as well as in front of you. The WDFOTW is strawberry but we abstained as it is not a favorite.
