Celebrate Erie
Sunday we went to Corry to visit Aunt Betty and Cousin Gary and as we were leaving Paul and Donna (cousin) Dingle stopped over and we stayed and visited. Then as we were leaving it started to pour so we visited some more. Then as we were leaving Betty pulled out some old pictures to give to Roni and Alesa. We did have a good visit and ate at Valerio's on the way home. That night I rode the bike downtown for the concerts and fireworks at 'Celebrate Erie' wrap up while everyone else went to bed. The concert was good and then I rode down to the dock for the fireworks. It started to rain so I went into the parking ramp and called Bob to see ir they made it home OK from Kansas and they had arrived back home about an hour and a half ago. At about 9:45 the clouds parted, I went to the top of the parking ramp and the fireworks began, synchronized with the music from a local radio station. The fireworks could be low because they were over the water and I was high, on the fourth floor, so it was a unique vantage point. The show was excellent as they shot from the dock, the tower and the deck. The best part was zipping my way home through the jammed traffic on the bike as they were all trying to get off the bayfront at the same time. Yesterday, Roni and Alesa went shopping in Northeast and last night Alesa and I went to Jim and Mary Claire's for a 'back to college' party for Ryan, Annie and Caitlin as well a birthday celebration for Mary Claire. As always, we had a wonderful time.
