Pergola rebuild

We have been busy the last few days working around the house. About 20 years ago we bought some wisteria and built a pergola around the deck for it to climb on. It loved it and it has been quite a job keeping it trimmed back. We cut the top off the pergola, made it a short trellis, trimmed the wisteria way back and restrung the remaining vines. We love the wisteria and the shorter height will make it easier to keep it out of the trees and off the house. I don't think any of the seed pods survived the trimming so I won't have to duck when I'm in the hot tub and hear the seed pods explode when they freeze and send the seeds ricocheting off the siding and the windows. It's turned cold and rainy so we are getting ready for winter.
