Bailey's Weekend

December 5, 2010

Bailey's birthday is on Wednesday so we had him with us for his birthday weekend.  We picked him up Friday evening and it has been non-stop since.  After a stop at Sam's club for ingredients for "Bailey's Awesome Soups" and snacks at their sample stations, we stopped at McDonald's for dinner.  Bailey had two as he is a growing boy, soon to be 10.  He then put up the holiday train and started his projects.  Yesterday AM we went to Bey's rock shop where we looked around and bought some Christmas gifts and Bailey got an Amethyst geode with a stand.  We then went to Cabela's in Hamburg just to look around after a stop at Dunkin Donuts.  Bailey wanted to drive through Reading on the way home so we also included a drive on Skyline Drive and a visit to the Pagoda after a stop at Arby's.  (We've had enough fast food for a while.)  Once home Bailey resumed his projects.  So far he's made an air cannon, a bug sucker and a pinhole camera.  He then took out all of my Hess trucks to pick out a couple to take home.  After some cheese popcorn and a skype with his family, he and Nana fell asleep watching Harry Potter.  This morning he rearranged the family room to make a place to display all of Nana's New England Village for the holidays and is now making his soup.  His family will be over this afternoon to sample his soup with Buffalo Wings.
