October
Yesterday, Alesa went dragon boating and had a great time while I stayed home, visited with all the neighbors and installed donuts around 10 of the sprinkler heads of our irrigation system. Today we bought 34 more and hopefully I can get them installed in the next few days. At least the vulnerable heads, which are next to the road and driveway, are protected. We also played 9 holes at the Palmetto course and we both did very well. We are both hoping to keep up the improved performance. After golfing, while we were on our way to Brownwood, Sue Schwed called and she and Alesa talked until we made it to Brownwood so we got to wave at them through the web cam at the town square. We then got a couple of beers and watched the entertainment, a country-western singer who was quite good. On the way home we stopped to visit with Paul and Carol, they had called as we were teeing off on number 3 to see if we wanted to go to Olive Garden. Yesterday, on the lot next to us, they installed the frames for the slab and leveled the lot and today they laid out all of the plumbing. The (Lois) closing date is scheduled for December 6th. Oh, yeah, that is her golfing hat.
