The Schweds
We have been busy with our golf, pickleball and dragon boating along with some other club meetings. We even took a line-dancing class and then went to Brownwood with the neighbors and about 1,000 close friends to dance to "Rocky and the Rollers" but after some regular dancing decided to forego the line-dancing for a while. Ken & Sue Schwed took the auto train from DC to Sanford and arrived at our house on Thursday. The train was 10 hours late so they didn't get here until around 11 PM. Ken had fallen on the ice at their daughter's house the night before they left and cut his hand and banged his knee and the knee was swollen with quite a bit of pain. Friday he went to urgent care and had it X-rayed and got some shots and a brace. They are stopping to get the X-ray results this morning on their way out of town but are quite sure it is only a bruise. Last night we played dominoes with them and our new neighbors, the Marx's, and then we all watched the opening ceremony at the Olympics. It was great to see the Schwed's again and we had a wonderful visit and wish they had more time. But with Ken "The Trainwreck" Schwed we had to take it a little slow. With any luck they will stop again on their way back north.
We got a text that the x-ray was negative so they are good to go.
